In advance: Thank you! However you are already supporting me, even if you are just a reader, it means so much and makes a difference to my little corner of the internet.
Sugarbutch started in 2006, which makes it 19 years old (!!) as of April 2025, and it has never made me a full-time income, or even been above the poverty line. I’ve been privileged to have had other gigs, jobs, and partners who have supported me in writing and “being a content creator” or even “influencer” (as this writing-on-the-internet ‘job’ is kinda now called).
Since 2022, I’ve had some major life restructuring. I’m now divorced from my partner of 11 years, and I am very financially unstable. I don’t have a job or other steady income right now, aside from Sugarbutch’s writing, coaching, & teaching (though I am looking for a full-time job).
So, if you happen to find yourself with some extra time or cash, and are willing to throw some my way, I would humbly accept and gratefully appreciate it.
Here’s a bunch of ideas about ways you can support me — with widely varying time and money costs.
Any amount of support makes a difference. Thank you for reading, and for supporting in whatever ways feel good for you.
Like & Subscribe & Follow
Cost to you: Free!
(Though it might contribute to digital clutter, so follow wisely.)
Follow me on my social media platforms — and please, repost and tag me! I can’t pay the bills with ‘exposure,’ but exposure still helps find new followers, new readers, and new clients and connections.
And subscribe to the Sugarbutch mailing list, if you don’t already!
You can also subscribe to the EroSomatics mailing list, if you’re interested in erotic embodiment and social justice liberation work: https://erosomatics.com
Review My Books
Cost to you: Free!
(Though you kinda have to have access to the books in order to review them, which means either borrowing them or buying them. Contact me directly if you’re broke and want to read & review them, I have some review copies. Some libraries do carry them!)
Reviews make a big difference when it comes to book sales! Writing even a couple sentences about what you thought of a book on Amazon, Goodreads, Smashwords, or any of your favorite book sites can make an impact.
Reviewing them on your own website or mentioning them on social media helps, too! Please share the links, share your thoughts about them, and encourage others to read (and buy) them.
Read & Review Leather & Lust on Theo Reads!Buy My Books & Other Fun Goodies
Cost to you: $5 to $lots
Kinda hard to review those books if you don’t have one yet! Or, maybe you have all of them already — perhaps you need back-up copies so you can loan them to your filthy friends? Or perhaps your filthy friends who need copies of their own?
Here’s where you can get all my books:
You can also buy copies of the Protocol Game cards! This is a little system to do some experimenting with protocol. If you’re wanting to start having protocol in a D/s dynamic, shake up your protocol, or step up your protocol, these can be a good tool for that.
(There is some writing about the Protocol Game and how it works on Sugarbutch, if you want more info; or you can work with me 1:1 if you want some support. More on that below.)
Become a Patron
Cost to you: $5 to $100+ monthly
You’ve probably seen other creators talk about how Patreon was a game-changer for their work — it has been for me! I joined in 2014 and have done a lot of different things through Patreon over the years, exploring what the best way is to engage and give you all some behind-the-scenes looks at what I do.
Having steady income on Patreon has been huge. The amount on there now, though, is less than half of what it was in 2022, and that is the primary income I’ve been relying on. If you have $5, $10, $50, $1 a month that you can spare toward supporting me, it’d make a huge difference — it adds up quick.
If you sign up for the Patreon, you can:
- Access the password — Sugarbutch has a variety of archives that are now password-protected, including erotic stories, personal journal entries, and things that just aren’t for the general internet’s consumption
- Access to the VIP webinar archive — which includes dozens of recordings of workshops!
- Read the personal, private stuff — I don’t publish much of the very personal writings anymore, but I share more with the patrons
- Attend live exclusive workshops — I haven’t scheduled these for 2025 yet, but I’m debating. TBA.
… Among other things! I also post discounts for workshops, have done giveaways, post writings that I publish on sites other than Sugarbutch, and all kinds of miscellany.
Come To A Workshop With Me
Cost to you: $20ish to $200+
I’m teaching online quite a bit, through Wicked Grounds and through a few other places, and I’ll be at a couple of kink conferences and teaching in person in 2025. Here’s my 2025 calendar — keep an eye out for topics you are particularly excited about, and let me know if you have requests.
You can also book me for a workshop, lecture, or event. I can come talk to your small group, college, professional development program, or more. Email me for more info.
Oh, and you know I have this online D/s course that you can do on your own (or with my guidance, if you want some extra support), right?
Meet With Me One-on-One
Cost to you: Usually $150/hour, sometimes sliding scale is available
I primarily focus my coaching around D/s relationships, and on erotica writing, but I’ve worked with people on all sorts of subjects — from transitioning and gender euphoria to opening up a relationship and polyamory to grief rituals and ending a D/s dynamic to becoming a Daddy.
If your cash is flowing, please consider donating
Cost to you: Whatever you can afford
Last, but not least: If you are finding yourself with some extra cash, you can send me some money directly. Five bucks, fifty, five hundred — anything makes a difference.
You can Venmo me directly at @wild-delight.
Last, but not least: Please share this post with friends & lovers
If you’ve sent friends, lovers, or group chats links to my work, if you’ve read stories out loud with your partner(s), please share this, too, and ask your friends to support me in whatever way they can. I want to keep writing and sharing it with you.
