Bisexual author Christian Pan seeks bold, sexy, and dynamic erotic short stories to be included in The Best Bi Erotica of the Year, Volume 3. This will be independently published on Bi Visibility Day (23 September 2026).
Background:
According to the latest Gallup poll (2023), 9% of Americans identify as part of the LGBTQ community, with nearly 59% of those people identifying as bisexual, making bi/bi+/pan people the largest segment of the queer community.
Bi people have a higher rates of clinical depression that heterosexual or homosexual people; bi men have higher rates of alcoholism and substance abuse than gay & straight men; and bi women have higher rates of body dysmorphia and eating disorders than lesbian & straight women.
Yet bi identifying people remain largely invisible within the public sphere. Bisexuality is considered a “transitional identity” rather than a presumably more “stable” one such as homosexuality; bisexuals throughout history are often erased by contemporaries as being “actually gay”; bisexuality is seen as instantly vanishing if a bi person is in a monogamous relationship with someone of the opposite sex (straight) or same sex (gay); bi people are considered indiscriminate in their desire; and more.
Let´s change this.
In 2024, I published The Best Bi Erotica of the Year, Volume 1 and in 2025, Volume 2. 15 new stories appeared in #1, and 18 in #2. There were contributing writers from the US, the UK, Australia, and Canada.
In each one, I wanted to showcase exceptional bisexual erotica, in all of its multifaceted and complex expressions; to gather a diverse collection of erotic stories about bisexual people; to heighten bi visibility and representation; to let the world know about our lives, our experiences, our desires.
Who wants to join me?
Entry guidelines:
I´m seeking well-written erotic short stories that center bisexual characters. I want these to be hot of course, but I also want them to be intelligent, honest, and bold. Take a chance–put some of you–your feelings and experiences–onto the page.
Your short story can be set in any time-period (present-day, historical, future), and you´re welcome to have your story shift into another genre (fantasy, science-fiction, etc).
Stories by bisexual-identifying authors are preferred, but not required.
In your short story submission, please DO NOT include any of the following:
- Nonconsensual sex or activities (including dub-con of any degree)
- Stories involving underage characters or minors, grooming, or anything of the like
- Incest (including pseudoincest), bestiality, necrophilia, racism
- Characters that resemble real public figures/ celebrities (including political figures)
- Substance/alcohol/drug abuse that affect the character’s willingness/ability to consent or make sane judgements and decisions
Practical details:
All stories must be written in English. First page to include: your legal name (and pseudonym, if applicable), email address, and a biography (maximum of 50 words), written in the third person.
Please have your stories be 4000-6000 words in length.
Do not use any GenAI tools in the creation of your piece. Human-authored stories only!
Format your stories into 12 pt New York Times font, 1.5 or double-spaced, formatted for page numbers.

Deadlines & important dates:
Deadline for submission: 15 June 2026.
Accepted writers will be notified no later than 31 July 2026.
Rights:
Writers retain all rights to their written work. Editors of this anthology require that stories accepted into this anthology a) have not been published anywhere else before (online or in print), and that the story will remain exclusive within this anthology until 1 year after the anthology´s publication (ie September 2027).
Payment:
For payment, each writer will be paid $40 USD for their story to be included in this anthology, which will be transferred to their account via Venmo or Zelle by the day of publication; or the equivalent of this amount to be used towards author copies. In addition, each writer will receive a digital copy of the anthology.
Publication:
I will cover the costs of editing, formatting, designing the anthology´s book cover, etc. The anthology will be published on 23 September 2026 (Bi Visibility Day).
About me:
Christian Pan is the author of numerous books of erotic fiction which often center bisexual characters and experience. Recent titles include The Apples of Discord, numb3r5 gam3, Wilding (Passionate Plume Finalist in Erotic Fiction – Long), Reunion (Passionate Plume Finalist in Erotic Fiction; International Impact Book Award Winner in Romance), among others.
