aw, thanks, Avah & Linaria, for the support! I'm glad they're not as cliche as they seem. I feel like the butch gifts I listed were so specific – I guess it's easier for me to recommend specific things that I know *I'd* like, but harder to suggest specific things for others to get for their femme girls, because, who knows?

there's a lovely vintage store near me that has an ENORMOUS basket of skinny vintage ties. I've been thinking about getting one or two for my girl but I wasn't sure if it was a good present–now I guess I'll have to get some:)

perfume, jewelry, accessories, etc are very cliche gifts, but I have to say, they really are what I want most. because I rarely feel comfortable buying such things for myself, and also because they are affirming and sweet–the same sentiment that makes them cliche, the history of feminine presentation, is the same thing that makes them such a touching thing to receive.

As a fairly girly-girl (dunno if I'd qualify as a femme per se), I'd say those are great choices as I know I'd love any of those as a gift personally.

These are awesome awesome gifts. I think I just found one for my mom. Not quite the femme in my life, but hey, it'll do. She is a special woman, after all. That RedEnvelope store is beautiful, they have so many nice things, I've never seen it before. Thanks for putting this together.
